Qudah highlighted ongoing efforts to revive regional transit trade, including discussions between Syria and Turkey on reopening the Bab Al Hawa crossing to facilitate exports to European and international markets. He encouraged Jordanian businesses to explore economic opportunities in Syria, pointing to joint government committees enhancing cooperation in trade, transport, water, agriculture, and administration.

The minister emphasized the industrial sector as a key economic driver, generating jobs, reducing unemployment, supporting business, and bolstering exports. Jordanian products, such as air-conditioning systems, are installed in NASA facilities and Los Angeles International Airport, while pharmaceutical firms continue to expand globally.
Government support programs, including the Industrial Support Fund (JD30–35 million) and an export promotion initiative (JD15–20 million), aim to strengthen competitiveness. Additionally, natural gas supply will be extended to industrial zones to reduce costs. Legislative reforms and Jordan’s network of free trade agreements, including with the US and Greater Arab Free Trade Agreement, further support the expansion of Jordanian exports.
